Because of this he was sent to the Therous Master War College. Instead of giving up magic or quitting in disgrace, he seems to have learned to combine magic and swordplay, another feat deemed impossible. With the number of enemies he has, only the personal interest of the king has kept him from being drummed up on spurious charges and discharged. All the hatred Jerald has received from above has made him spend more time with the lower classes, and he respects many of them far more then he does most nobles. For now he just shows a cavalier attitude towards authority, an attitude that also seems to persist in battle.

She would have made a good thief if the Southland armies hadn't been so desperate for troops. At the age of 11 all orphans were rounded up and forced into military service. Kryshandra’s natural grace and skill were noticed early on and she was the first Magic Knights to be trained using the theories of Romano DeLaveina. Currently she is the top of her class, to the continued annoyance of her rival Kaori. The Sakura-tachi idolize her, and high command see her as their secret weapon. She herself just lives day to day. While her devotion to mastering the school of ice has left her seeming emotionless, she still has a (slightly odd) sense of humor, and she cares for those around her. Just don't expect much proof.

Thus, most of this strange warrior’s past and information is a mystery. The only tests that Sam was submitted to were a powers test and a magical loyalty test. They revealed that Sam has unique powers and no real loyalties. It is obvious that Sam wields the powers of darkness above and beyond the normal practitioner of black magic. While most black magicians use tainted elemental spells, Sam uses pure black magic with occasional calls on her birth element of wind. Add in what seems to be superhuman strength and Sam can be considered a strike force of one. The generals are coming to regret their ‘no questions’ promise, as they desperately want more super soldiers like that. Then again, when those generals look into Sam's eyes, they wonder if they could really control more then one....

No one is quite sure how Seira got the powers of light, but since wood also has healing properties Seira is undoubtedly the best healer of this generation. Because of this Seira has also mastered the attack magic available to the light, something even most high ranking clerics never achieve. Also because of this Seira was drafted by the Southland forces to serve as a healer for their armies. Seira was mildly disturbed by the tactics the Southland forces were willing to use, but Seira was happy to be able to assist those who had been wounded. However, the high command wants to see the power of light being used for their army, and they are trying to get Seira into a more combat intensive role. If that does happen Seira will fight, but perhaps not in the fashion the generals like.

Age: 18 Hair: Red Eyes: Green Bloodtype: B Astrological Sign: Ryft Likes: Ulrick, action Dislikes: Angsty stories Favorite food: Shaved ice Least liked food: Alcohol (tends to combust) Weapon: The 'Oi, shut your trap' school of martial arts (gloves) While Hikaru was born a commoner, she was also born during an astrological event known as the eye of the dragon. All those born at that particular moment tend to have incredible powers of fire, and Hikaru is no exception. Those born under the sign also tend to excitable, rash, and violent, and Hikaru is no exception. When she was of a reasonable age she was taken into the Royal College of Magic and trained under the best instructors available. At that same time she chose the new name she would be known as for the rest of her life (an odd fire mage ritual). However, while she was treated as a noble by the teachers, she was still a commoner born. This lead to some issues with her fellow students. It was there that she developed her personal fighting style, a refinement on what she had used on her siblings back at home. This brawling skill, added on to her innate powers made her a excellent battle mage. Unfortunately, she doesn't have any tactical sense. Even now that she's married to Ulrick she only grudgingly accepts any plan other then ‘smash the other guy.’ The Northland armies are trying to figure out just what to do with her right now.

Age: 32 Hair: Brown Eyes: Hazel Bloodtype: B Astrological Sign: The River Likes: Hikaru, singing Dislikes: Arrogant people, incompetent officers Favorite food: Campfire Stew Least favorite food: Snake (patrol ran out of food once) Weapon: Axe 'Hill Splitter' As the third son of his family Ulrick knew that he would receive little or no inheritance. Thus he signed up with the Northumberland armies just in time for the last North-South war. His abilities in battle and command got him promoted to the rank of master Sargent. His 'accidental' correcting of several battle plans got him reassigned to a training position so he would have proper authority to yell at ranking officers for their failures. It was there that he met Jerald and trained him in small unit tactics and melee combat. In return Jerald taught him how to draw upon his innate power of water to a greater degree. Later, during a combined arms exercise, he met Hikaru, and after a rather tempestuous courtship the two were married. Now Ulrick is returning to active duty to fight alongside his wife. Ulrick is a dead eye berserker, in that while he enters a trance state in combat, it is a calm measured trance. His utter silence during battle unnerves enemies and allies alike. Recently he's been learning to act more and more independently within the trance, proof that action without thought is powerful indeed.

Kaori somehow became Alexander’s girlfriend, an impressive feat considering his usual lack of emotion. While Kryshandra seems to have no problems with Kaori, Kaori's dislike of her rival is incredible.

For now they will probably be side characters and visual aides. All that really needs to be known about them is that they all idolize Kryshandra, had a crush on Alexander at one point (of varying strengths), and are among the best Magic Knights in the kingdom.
